Do your holistic and complementary therapy qualifications have workplace recognition?

All our Government funded holistic and complementary therapy qualifications are supported by Skills for Health, the standards setting organisation for health related skills and the lead bodies for aromatherapy, reflexology and massage before being accredited to the National Framework by the Governments' Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Some individuals, usually running small private schools, try to talk the qualifications down because they are mainly supplied through Colleges of Further Education. However the better independent schools also use them, because the qualifications meet the needs of the workplace . Thousands of nurses and other health professionals have acquired the VTCT Diplomas as extra skill qualifications, which are applied in healthcare environments.

There are many Awarding Bodies in the UK , is there really any difference between them?
Yes. VTCT qualifications meet the highest quality standards and are offered throughout the country. Mostly VTCT Centres are Colleges of Further Education and the better independent schools . The Web is full of 'leading' providers of therapy qualifications. Try asking them how many of their qualifications are on the National Framework of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and are thereby Government Funded. It is also interesting to ask those with many schools in many countries, how many students these schools have. You will get a shock. As a charity, VTCT charges low fees and the qualifications are those meeting the needs of the workplace. We do not give single school 'mickey mouse' certificates just for profit. What are the VTCT International Qualifications?
VTCT incorporates provision for the Awarding Body titles International Health and Beauty Council (IHBC), International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies (IIHHT) and International Institute of Sports Therapy (IIST). Some certificates therefore have this extra badging which are well known Internationally and the qualifications are assessed to the same competence standards as N/SVQ's. International qualifications produced by VTCT are divided into Units which can also be taken separately.
